Healthy Environments for Physical Activity

The Healthy Environments Committee believes that transportation and recreational spaces are interconnected and represent the quality of the built environment! They work to bring physical activity to the Dearborn community.

Increase physical activity by ensuring that everyone, no matter where they live, has access to safe and desirable opportunities for play and active lifestyles.

Work Plan

  1. Create and operate Dearborn Healthy Streets program

  2. Increase community awareness of availability and importance of physical opportunities including Walk n' Roll and other initiatives.

  3. Improve and access transit through a multi-modal transportation plan
